Mark Beacroft
Founder/Director
Mark founded MB Textiles in 1989 from his living room, often working while his two young children knocked at the door. From this small start, he used his keen eye for product development to help overseas mills meet the needs of the UK market, supported by customers who first showcased his fabrics at the 1990 Furniture Show.
Since then, the strong relationships Mark has built with mills and customers have driven MB Textiles’ continued growth. Despite major changes in the market, Mark and his team have adapted and are well prepared for the next stage as sales increasingly move online.

One of the two children knocking on the office door, Tom grew up with a strong interest in his father’s work and pride in watching MB Textiles grow. After gaining sales experience in the construction trade, he joined the family business in 2011.
Tom enjoys meeting customers at trade shows and visiting mills worldwide, many of which feel like family after knowing them since childhood. He credits his success to what he has learned from these teams and from his dad.

When they’re not networking at doggy day care, Sydney and Wolf love to pop into the office to check on the team and chase each other around the building.
As a scent hound, Sydney is invaluable in sniffing out the fabrics the team needs. He’s also a dedicated company wellness champion: dragging Mark around fields whenever they’re not in the office.
Wolf likes to give his say on new fabrics, but he couldn’t cut it as a guard dog as all he wants to do is play with anyone who visits the showroom.

A large cinema chain in the UK needed fabrics which could handle heavy use without losing it’s character. We supplied velvet and performance textiles which breathed new life into their commercial spaces and held up beautifully.
